Mashed potatoes and hamburger meat with gravy

  • For the meat
  • 1 pound ground beef or Turkey
  • As much garlic as you want
  • Salt
  • 1 teaspoons pepper, parsley,
  • 2 teaspoon celery flakes
  • 2 teaspoon cajun season
  • 4 bags your favorite kind of potatoes
  • For the gravy
  • The dropping of the the ground beef
  • 2-4 teaspoons flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • Steps

    about 15 to 20 mins

  • Start the meat first. Put it in a pan. Add the seasoning and brown up the meat
  • Drain the grease into a bowl and save for later
  • Start your water for the potatoes. Now I just got the 1.00 ones at the store. But you can use whatever kind you want. Or if you want to do them homemade go for it.
  • As the water is boiling take the dropping from the meat and put it back in the pan you just used for it.
  • Start out with 1 teaspoons of flour first mix it together and then add another one. Keep stirring it.
  • Take the water and slowly add to it.. keep stirring and adding a little bit more flour.
  • You can add more of you want more. It is all up to you. But you dont have to add anything to it.
  • Move it off the burner
  • Do the potatoes and once they are done add the meat to the potatoes and mix it together. Then put the gravy in and mix it… you can add veggies like green beans to it
  • Vegetable Soup With Hamburger Meat

  • 1 can green beans
  • 3 lb hamburger meat
  • 1 can of corn
  • 4 large Potatoes
  • 1 can of peas
  • 1/2 bag baby carrots
  • 1 can of Tomato paste
  • 1 can sliced, chopped, or whole tomatoes
  • 1/2 box elbow macaroni (optional)
  • 1 Salt and pepper to taste
  • Steps

    45 mins

  • Peel potatoes and chop them into big chunks
  • Chop baby carrots into three chunks. One carrot will make three chunks
  • Rinse potatoes and carrots
  • In a large pot add potatoes and carrots. Cook until tender. About 30 mins
  • Add corn, green beans, peas and tomatoes
  • In another pot cook elbow macaroni until tinder. About 30 mins
  • Cook hamburger meat in a skillet. Cook until it’s all brown.
  • Drain meat and add to vegetables on the stove.
  • Add tomato paste. Cook for about 20 mins. Stir occasionally. If not it will stick to bottom of pot.
  • Drain elbow macaroni, you can add to soup or leave it in a bowl and add to the people that want it. Enjoy
  • Lamb burgers/ meat balls

  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1/2 packages frozen spinach
  • 1 oz feta cheese
  • 2 buns (optional)
  • 2 slice cheese (optional)
  • Steps

  • Boil spinach until thawed and drain. Make sure to remove as much water as possible Change
  • Mix in some spinach and feta with raw lamb. The amount of spinach is up to you, I added just a few pinches.
  • Thoroughly cook lamb patties (or balls if making meatballs) Change
  • If making burgers, add some of the leftover spinach instead of lettuce
  • If making meatballs add the extra spinach to pasta of your choice and serve.
  • Jiffy Hamburger Meat Roll

  • 1 1/2 lb hamburger
  • 1 cup onions, sliced thin
  • 1 cup green pepper, chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 cup Jiffy baking mix
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • Steps

  • Preheat oven to 400°. Brown hamburger, onion,and green pepper together. Drain. Add salt and pepper to taste. Let cool. Change
  • Make a dough by using the Jiffy baking mix and milk. Firm enough to roll. You can also use homemade biscuit dough to make a dozen. On a well floured surface, roll dough to a 9 x 12 rectangle.
  • Spread cooled meat mixture over the roll out dough. Change
  • Roll the dough and meat jelly roll style. Score the top with a knife so stream can escape. Change
  • Bake at 400° for twenty minutes. Change
  • Slice and serve with either hamburger gravy, tomato sauce or mushroom soup as a sauce.
